The United Nations Secretary-­‐General’s Campaign UNiTE to End Violence against Women has proclaimed the 25th of each  month as “Orange Day”, a day to raise awareness and take action against
violence against women and girls.

The UNiTE Theme for August is: Get ready to orange the world
The colour Oranges is used to represent  a future free from violence against women and girls
since August 2014 JCW+ has mobilized women, young women and girls to recognize this hope of a future free from gender violence.
For August 25, 2015 the women provided this quote: “Violence should not keep us silent; speak a word, lend a hand, provide comfort and support to a woman”
