Why I Love Myself

I love myself

I love myself because  I am beautiful and I am a good mother to my Kids, and a wonderful wife to my husband. My HIV journey was very hard, but I have friends and family that help me to move on with my life. This gives me the strength to empower myself  to live and love myself for who I am. Now I am feeling wonderful and blessed a great achievement from who I was before. by Sweet Honey

Living in a world that is constantly trying to make me feel ashamed of me.       I stand proud , and confident, I am unique  with the same value, like any other.     My Dreams and the Love have for myself is what motivates me each day to live a happy life. Right now I’m living the best life, because I love me, and this is my  greatest inspiration. by Lovelace

Self Love                                Through the highs and lows, we as women cultivate a profound love for our bodies, recognizing that health and beauty transcend the limitations of any diagnosis. We learn to cherish the present, celebrate victories, and honor the journey – a journey that goes beyond the virus, encapsulating dreams, aspirations, and the pursuit of happiness.

In the tapestry of self-love, HIV-positive women weave threads of compassion, empowerment, and authenticity. Each day becomes a testament to our ability to embrace life with open hearts, dispelling myths, and proving that love, in all its forms, is a force that transcends any circumstance. By Buttercup 🍀

Someone I Trusted

That is the person who gave me HIV, my baby father

He was someone I trusted. One day I heard the rumor that he is HIV positive. I asked him about it and he said ‘NO! nuttin nuh guh suh’ …I found myself losing weight, having no appetite, feeling weak and tired all the time.

So one day I decided to get tested. I was scared, but I went to the clinic and get the HIV test. Waited for about half hour to get the results. That was when the nurse says to me ‘I have bad news and good news’. That day my world turn upside down.

I came home, called him and tell him the bad news I got. He hang up the phone on me. From that day I never hear from him or se him again.

It was struggling for me but thank God I am living for myself. I meet some wonderful people. I accepted myself, loving me even more. I went to sessions that teach me a lot about how to forgive and accept who I am.

From Time to time a note to self

You are alive and worthy of love and understanding. Be purposeful in all you do to love yourself and recognize those who care about you.

There is no guilt in taking the time to talk about your feelings and to have aspirations that do not include giving to someone other than yourself.

Check your vision and be true to yourself, so that you can gain the strength of purpose to be the woman in your vision. _Gretchen Carvajal_
